Competition Changes for 2011
Club Diary:-
The 2011 diary has resulted in several changes both in terms of competitions and dates. The main changes result in the major Club competitions such as the Sullivan Salver, the XLB Cup, and Clyne Cann being played during the main summer months when the course is at its best.
Open Week:-
This has been extended by one day and will run from the Saturday, 30th July to Sunday 7th August, being 9 days in total. The Golf Illustrated Cup-(Nett Competition) will be played on Sunday 31st July 2011 & the City & County of Swansea Cup (Gross Competition) will be played on Sunday, 7th August. Previously these 2 competitions were played on the same day.
Also a number of new competitions have been introduced for Lady golfers. For more details see Open Events page.
Coronach Foursomes:-
This is a foursomes competition played from the white tees. As an experiment for 2011, this will be made into a knockout competition with competitors choosing their own partners. Hopefully, this will resurect interest and attract a minimum of 16 pairs.
